Advertised Summary Job Description We are seeking a Project Coordinator to work with researchers in the School of Nursing on a 1-year project funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on infection surveillance in nursing homes. The Project Coordinator will report to the Principal Investigator and serve as a liaison between the other investigators, collaborators, and other university faculty. The individual will be responsible for day-to-day administrative activities related to the study including: 
- arranging regularly scheduled meetings between research team members at Columbia and collaborating institutions;
- developing and maintaining the study website;
- assisting institutional review board approvals and data use agreements;
- scheduling conference call training sessions with interviewers and coders for the qualitative study;
- managing recruitment and scheduling interviews for the qualitative study;
- assisting with qualitative interviews and coding;
- developing semi-annual and annual progress reports;
- assisting with dissemination activities including the development of manuscripts and presentations; and
- other duties as assigned.
This is a full-time, temporary position that is currently funded for one year with the possibility of extension. Minimum Qualifications for Grade
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus three years of related experience. Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and written and oral communication. Ability to work in a team setting with minimal supervision, to set priorities and handle multiple tasks. Must be proficient in software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email, etc.) and have at least a basic knowledge of a statistical package (e.g., SAS, Stata). Special Instructions Preferred Qualifications Qualitative research methods, background in infection prevention and/or long-term care.
