Responsible for providing administrative support to the College of Nursing programs offered at University Park, Hershey and Commonwealth Campuses. Responsibilities include processing and maintaining clinical agency contract files, affiliation agreements and database(s) for undergraduate, graduate and outreach program. Serve as liaison to University’s General Counsel, University’s Risk Management, lawyers, paralegals and outside facility’s legal offices as well as campus coordinators, faculty and students. Facilitate the process of obtaining PA State Board of Nursing approval for new agency site requests via Eppicc NURSE database and maintains database of all State Board approved agencies. Provide staff support to various committees as needed, which includes preparing and tracking offer and denial letters for enrollment to undergraduate nursing programs. Serve as up to Record Specialist 04 which may include, but is not limited to, updating student degree audits; processing course substitution data; verifying student graduation requirements have been met; and, processing credit by portfolio requests. General offices duties as assigned. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and a strong commitment to teamwork are required; attention to detail is paramount. Candidate must have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Access and Excel. Experience with LionPATH is beneficial and ground knowledge in a health- or legal-related field would be helpful but not required. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding. www.nursing.psu.edu
