Clinical Nurse 4 - Urodynamics Nurse Coordinator - David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA - Los Angeles, CA

Under the supervision of the Medical Director and other faculty urologists, the primary responsibilities of the CN IV include: providing direct patient care by utilizing the nursing process, developing and applying concepts pf leadership/management and communication theory teaching, maintenance of professional standards and function in a leadership position by serving as charge nurse, relief charge nurse or a preceptor. The CNIV is responsible for running the urodynamics program, writing protocols and developing policies related to this clinical program, and training the Dept of Urology PA and/or NP staff to perform urodynamics studies and other urological diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
REQUIRED:
Possession of a current CA RN license. BSN with MSN or BSN with Master's degree in related field. 5 years or greater of Urodynamics experience.
BLS
Ability to communicate, write clearly and effectively using standard English
Ability to read, interpret, and understand verbal or written instructions or orders in English
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with patient, families, and co-workers.
Skill in organizing and prioritizing the work assignment to complete in a timely manner
Ability to effectively plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate pre-, mid-, and post-procedure care for interventional patients.
5 years or greater of Urodynamics experience. Ability to act as resource for Urology.
Knowledge of performance improvement activities relevant to the care of Urology patients.
Teaching skills in informal settings.
Skill and ability to respond quickly and accurately with patient needs and physician direction
Skill in operating equipment required to do the job.
