We invite candidates to apply for our Reference/Instruction Librarian, South Lake Campus position. The Librarian will provide reference services and library instruction for South Lake (SL) campus and will provide nursing and allied health reference services from the South Lake Library, and support services for students and faculty in all programs and locations affiliated with LSSC. The South Lake campus library is a joint-use facility serving LSSC, the University of Central Florida, and the Lake County Library System. Incumbent must routinely engender a collaborative work ethic amongst the staff of all three library partners. Position requires a flexible work schedule, including days, evenings, and occasional weekends. This position requires an ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, to present oral lectures/demonstrations, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, and carry items occasionally in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s core value of Service Excellence; respect, competence, responsiveness, and collaboration, in all interactions.
Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: A Master’s degree in Library/Information Science from ALA accredited institution. Minimum: Experience in providing general reference services and formal library instruction in a community college or other post-secondary institution. Preferred: Experience in shared library facilities.
