Computer or Electrical Engineering Faculty Position
Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Computer Engineering to join our Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department. Professorial rank will depend on qualifications and experience of the candidate.
Applicants must have an earned Doctorate in Computer or Electrical Engineering by the beginning date of appointment. Superior written and oral communication skills in English are required. A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution is preferred. Industrial experience in computer engineering is preferred.
Applicants must be qualified to instruct integrated lecture/lab courses in undergraduate computer engineering topic areas including embedded system programming, design using HDL, system-on-chip, operating systems, computer networking, and object-oriented programming. Leadership in the growth of undergraduate engineering education is expected. The applicant will be expected to remain current in relevant technical and pedagogical fields and to actively continue his/her professional development.
The MSOE Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering programs are ABET-accredited with more than 500 undergraduate students. MSOE enjoys close working relationships with regional companies, and faculty interaction with these companies is especially encouraged.
